Square Footage:

14,000 sq. ft.

The 14,000 square feet single story aquatic complex consists of the natatorium area, wet/dry multipurpose rooms, locker rooms, staff offices, lobby, equipment rooms, mechanical/electrical rooms and support areas. The natatorium area included two large swimming pools and a spa.

Our scope of work included the commissioning of the building mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and swimming pools/ spa equipment. As a part of commission task, the construction documents were reviewed at the design stage and the design engineer complied with the applicable review comments. During the construction phase, site visits were made to observe the progress of the contractor’s work in compliance with the requirements of the construction documents, witnessed various tests performed by the contractor, reviewed the equipment startup forms prepared by the contractor, completed the functional performance test reports forms, reviewed the testing/ balancing report and operation and maintenance manuals, verified proper training of the owner’s maintenance personnel and prepared the commissioning report.

The close coordination between the mechanical and pool contractors was performed to address the outstanding issues concerning the heat reclaim between the roof mounted dehumidification units serving the natatorium area and the heating water loops serving the swimming pools and spa. Also, close coordination between the mechanical and control contractors was performed to address the outstanding issues concerning various modes of operations of the dehumidification units.
